Blind Collaboration — Video Jam preside over an exhilarating live collision between filmmakers and musicians at Manchester Art Gallery.

Sound and image alchemists Video Jam return to Manchester Art Gallery to to present another electric evening of ‘blind collaborations.’ By pairing short films from amateur and professional filmmakers alike with musicians who compose original scores to be performed live in front of an audience, they create an exciting and unpredictable one-off experience with each event.

Described as an “ongoing series of unique experimental events that explore the relationship between moving image and sound”, the next event will create a direct response to Ryan Gander’s current exhibition at the gallery Make Every Show Like It’s Your Last. The Hipshakes, From The Kites of San Quentin, Charlie Cocksedge (MONEY) and Liverpool-based a.P.A.t.T Orchestra will be performing their live scores to films by Amelia Crouch, Louise Adkins and Katarzyna Parejko.

Video Jam is FREE so come check it out at Manchester Art Gallery Thursday, July 17 6pm-9pm.

After ‘Arty’ hosted by Stop Making Sense at Common, 9pm-2am.
