Video: New illustration collab from Lucas Beaufort and Elna

Four Hands Voyage is collaborative project between Elna and Lucas Beaufort, who sent illustrations back and forth between Cannes and Jeurasalem. The two skaters presented 16 new works at the Bright Tradeshow in Berlin last week, and also released a video detailing the collaboration.
Elna, who’s based out of Israel and works primarily with markers, sent his drawings to Beaufort in France, who in turn added figures to the drawing. Elna’s work is clean, with flat, thick lines and solid fills. His drawings are full of esoterica and geometric structures. His surreal landscapes provided a backdrop for Beaufort’s characters, who find ways to slither through holes and hide in nooks and crannies.
The relation between the space, objects, and characters in the drawings channel the two skaters encounters with urban environments, and also reflect the dynamic relation of the cross-continent collab.
Beaufort has a background in board design, and Elna has done a good deal of stickering and street art. The meshing of styles makes for some pretty superb drawings.
