A look down the side streets at Notting Hill Carnival

Since it’s inception some 50 years ago, Notting Hill Carnival has become a highlight of London’s cultural calendar. It’s the UK’s largest celebration of British Afro-Caribbean, with hundreds of thousands of revellers (some estimates suggest one million) flocking to West London’s streets.
We sent photographer Theo McInnes down to the festivities, but asked him to scope out what Carnival looks like away from the parades, the crowds and the partying.
