Stephanie Gilmore shines in cinematic new surf edit shot in France

  • Text by HUCK HQ
An experimental short by Morgan Maassen — An inspired artistic collaboration between two creative water people.

Okay, we’ve been a little Steph obsessed ever since we saw Stephanie in the water last month and had our hearts broken by Happy Gilmore’s rollercoaster journey to sport superstardom, but the Gold Coast’s finest wave-riding export has lived up to our expectations again with a new edit directed by Californian cinematographer Morgan Maassen.

Stephanie is a beautiful vignette of Steph surfing in the south of France and Maassen – an expert lensman whose ethereal style sets his surf reportage apart from the masses – captures the colours, shapes and landscapes of the region in subtle tones.

Lots more collaboration from these two please.
