TOGETHER — It will host a national demonstration, which will take place on March 28 in Central London.
A new alliance, TOGETHER, which stands against the rise of the far right in the UK, has been formed.
Announced today, the coalition features music and entertainment figures, including the likes of Fontaines DC, Kneecap, Sir Lenny Henry, Brian Eno, Joy Crookes, Jordan Stephens, Maxine Peake, Paloma Faith, Asim Chaudhry, Frank Turner, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and more, as well as organisations such as Stand Up to Racism, Friends of the Earth, Unite the Union, Palestine Solidarity Campaign and Stop the War Coalition. Huck Magazine is also supporting the alliance.
The TOGETHER alliance will march against the far right on March 28, 2026, in a national demonstration in central London.
It comes as the far-right movement in the UK has increasingly found a foothold in recent times, culminating in a huge march in September organised by Stephen Yaxley-Lennon aka Tommy Robinson, the founder of the English Defence League. The Unite the Kingdom rally saw an estimated 150,000 attendees, with 26 police officers reportedly injured while policing the protest.
Meanwhile, populist party Reform UK, led by Nigel Farage, stand in first place in British election polling, with the party having campaigned to “detain and deport” hundreds of thousands of migrants if it won power at the next election.
Commenting on the launch of TOGETHER, Sir Lenny Henry said: “We stand for love over hate, hope over fear and unity over division. We’re coming together against racism, join us and be a part of it.
Leigh-Anne Pinnock said: “As an artist and a mother, I’m standing with Together Alliance to call out far-right extremism and racism for what they are: dangerous and divisive. We have to protect our communities, defend our freedoms and stand up to hate together.”
