NYC Street Photography #2 — Cheryl Dunn on NYC-based Serbian photographer Boogie and his hard-hitting images that feature in her new doc Everybody Street.

In the second of our three-part series on Cheryl Dunn and her new NYC street photography documentary Everybody Street the aficionado and artist talks about the beautifully intimate and sometimes disturbing photographs of Serbian-born NYC shooter Boogie.

“Boogie shoots 15 rolls of film a day, he really, really lives it,” says Cheryl about Boogie. “His story is really fascinating. He was a teenager when Belgrade was getting bombed… He went from a civil society to a war-ravaged society so shooting the projects in Brooklyn was no big deal.”
