Part Two: Capture — In the second chapter of our new three part video series The Ed Templeton Scrapbook, chronicler of Southern California life Ed Templeton explains how photography has changed the way he looks at the world.

“Photography has trained my brain to see where I live like I see other places,” reflects Ed Templeton.

He first picked up a camera to document his travels as a pro skater from the ultimate insider’s perspective, but little by little carrying a camera with him everywhere he goes changed the way he sees the world.

Ed has become the ultimate chronicler of Southern California life by looking at his Huntington Beach home through the eyes of an outsider.

“What if I was European and walking on the pier for the first time,” he asks himself. “What things would I notice and not take for granted at all?”
